I am the mother of an amazing young man named Jonathan. He is 18 and our journey with Chiari began in December 2006. He was diagnosed with Chiari I, EDS, Tethered Cord, Klippel-Feil Syndrome, Syringomyelia and Scoliosis. Jonathan has also been battling Crohn's Disease for the past 9 years. In December 2006 he had decompression surgery and in July of 2008 he had Tethered Cord surgery.

Jonathan and I started a support group about 8 months ago and it has been a very positive experience. We started this blog to provide information and support to other Chiari families. The Chiari friendships we've developed in the past two years have been incredible.

I know one day we will all find a cure for this painful and very complex disease, so let's continue this fight together and erase Chiari for good!
